Longines is the protagonist of the 120th edition of Fieracavalli Verona, which has seen over 160 thousand visitors pass through the 4 days of the event.
Thanks to the sponsorship agreement signed with the FEI (International Equestrian Federation), the Swiss watchmaker has been the Title Partner, Timekeeper and Official Watch of the international showjumping circuit Longines FEI World Cup and Longines FEI Nations Cup.
The agreement strengthens Longines’s historic commitment to equestrian sports, dated 1878 with the production of the first chronograph engraving a jockey and his horse that allowed precision performance on the racecourses, while in 1912 the brand participated for the first time at a show jumping competition. Today Longines is involved in the foreground in racing, show jumping, dressage, eventing, driving and endurance, and it invests significantly in the development of advanced timekeeping and management services, as well as in the relevant technology, specific to equestrian sports: multimedia applications, giant screens, scoreboards and radio and television broadcasts in the context of the presentation of FEI events all over the world.

Grazie all’accordo di sponsorizzazione siglato con la FEI (Federazione Equestre Internazionale), la Maison orologiera svizzera dal 2013 è Title Partner, Cronometrista e Orologio Ufficiale dei circuiti di salto ostacoli internazionale Longines FEI World Cup e Longines FEI Nations Cup.
L’accordo rafforza lo storico impegno di Longines negli sport equestri, datato 1878 con la produzione del primo cronografo recante l’incisione di un fantino e del suo cavallo che permetteva performance di precisione al secondo sui campi da corsa, mentre nel 1912 il marchio partecipò per la prima volta ad una competizione di salto ostacoli. Oggi Longines è coinvolta in primo piano nelle corse, nel salto ostacoli, dressage, eventing, driving ed endurance, ed investe in modo significativo nello sviluppo dei servizi di cronometraggio e gestione di dati all’avanguardia, nonché nella relativa tecnologia, specifici per gli sport equestri: applicazioni multimediali, maxischermi, tabelloni e trasmissioni radiotelevisive nell’ambito della presentazione degli eventi FEI in tutto il mondo.
Jumping Verona, an international indoor competition inside FieraCavalli where the best horses and riders in the world took part, hosted the only Italian leg of the Longines FEI World Cup jumping, the third in the Western European league. On Sunday, October 28th in the World Cup Grand Prix, height 1.60 designed by the italian chef de piste Uliano Vezzani, there were 37 starters, of which 14 concluded with a clear round the first manche and gained access to the decisive barrage. A competition of great riding and full of suspense until the end. Last to enter the arena the German rider Daniel Deusseur riding Calisto Blue, who without hesitation stopped the chronometer of the barrage in 0/0 36.83 seconds. A time 20 cents better than what seemed unbeatable registered by the Belgian Niels Bruynseels on Gancia de Muze (0/0; 37.03), slipped into second position. In turn, Bruynseels had burned the test of the Swiss Martin Fuchs on Clooney 51 (0/0; 38.40) third in the podium, this binomial was also silver medal at the recent World Games of Tryon, for an exciting escalation of great performances. Brilliant also the proof of the binomial winner at Jumping Verona 2014 formed by the Irish Bertram Allen and Molly Malone (0/0; 38.60) fourth position. Fifth the italian Luca Marziani on Tokyo du Soleil (0/0; 39.69) who made the home crowd rejoice. In the barrage also two other italians, Alberto Zorzi (10th) with Contanga 3 (0/4; 41.29) and Bruno Chimirri (14th) with Tower Mouche (0/8; 41.60).

Jumping Verona, concorso indoor internazionale all’interno di FieraCavalli al quale hanno preso parte i migliori cavalli e cavalieri al mondo, ha ospitato l’unica tappa italiana del circuito Longines FEI World Cup di salto ostacoli, la terza del girone Europa Occidentale. A scendere in campo domenica 28 Ottobre per il Gran Premio di Coppa del Mondo altezza 1.60 disegnato dallo chef de piste Uliano Vezzani, sono stati 37 binomi, di cui 14 hanno concluso con percorso netto al base e guadagnato accesso al decisivo barrage. Una gara di grande equitazione e ricca di suspense sino alla fine. Ultimo a scendere in campo il cavaliere tedesco Daniel Deusseur in sella a Calisto Blue, che senza esitazione ha fermato il cronometro del barrage 0/0 in 36.83 secondi. Un tempo migliore di 20 centesimi rispetto a quello che sembrava imbattibile registrato dal belga Niels Bruynseels su Gancia de Muze (0/0; 37.03), scivolato in seconda posizione. A sua volta Bruynseels aveva bruciato sul tempo la prova dello svizzero Martin Fuchs e il grigio Clooney 51 (0/0; 38.40) terzo gradino del podio, binomio questo medaglia d’argento ai recenti mondiali di Tryon, per una emozionante escalation di grandi prestazioni. Brillante anche la prova del binomio vincitore a Jumping Verona 2014 formato dall’irlandese Bertram Allen e Molly Malone (0/0; 38.60) quarta posizione. Quinto l’azzurro Luca Marziani suTokyo du Soleil (0/0; 39.69) che ha fatto gioire il pubblico di casa. In barrage anche due altri azzurri, Alberto Zorzi (10°) con Contanga 3 (0/4; 41.29) e Bruno Chimirri (14esimo) con Tower Mouche (0/8; 41.60).
